Where It All Began
Our journey started in 2018 when I built my very first trailer. As a family of passionate campers, I was tired of the endless packing hassle and wanted a simpler way to organize our gear.
Loving design and working with my hands, I decided to build my own. I wanted something I could trust and something that would hold up in South Africa’s toughest conditions.
On our first trip, the feedback was amazing. Strangers and fellow campers stopped us everywhere we went, and before I knew it, the idea of starting my own business started to grow.
At first I hesitated. The market is full of trailer companies. However, I knew I could offer something unique: solid workmanship, thoughtful design and true quality that everyday South African families could afford. So, I took a leap of faith and started Kampies Offroad.
I’m proud to say that every trailer we build is made with care, attention to detail and a strong belief in quality. I build them the way I would want my own trailer: tough, reliable and built for the road less traveled.
